The reason I decided to answer is because it gets to the heart of what accessibility is and why no one should be "certifying" something as accessible or declaring it a "gold standard."

Bureaucrats deciding to withhold physician-recommended care. And the elected politicians refusing to intervene. Why do we even need you if you aren't willing to serve your purpose to the electorate?

Do we as a society withhold medical care during the palliative stage of life? Care that is recommended by their physicians, makes them more comfortable, and prevents complications? I didn't think we did. This is the exact opposite of what palliative care is about.
