My sister is a nurse. My oldest daughter is a nurse. My wife is a lab tech. And...and one time...I was a nurse. Don't tell my family...or the hundreds of thousands of other families...that nurses...and those in the health field...aren't "professionals."

Republicans scream about voter ID. Fine. So why aren’t Democrats launching a full-blown...nationwide effort to help every eligible voter GET one? If the GOP wants to make IDs the battleground...then Goddamnit...equip people for the fight. This should be a no-brainer.

the democratic party’s basic problem is it has almost no control over how its message reaches the ears of voters, especially outside of presidential election years. but rather than devote serious time, attention and cash to that problem its consultants and pundits want to fight factional battles
