We have a president who pressured a motion picture studio into releasing a (probably) terrible film made by a credibly accused sexual predator.

Happy Thanksgiving, America.

Are we all finally learning the lesson that fascists in DC can harm you even if you live in a blue state? Have you learned that voting for a Dem supports not just you but those of us who live in the MAGA middle???

No?

Then please block me. I'm done w/you.

I am the wrong person to lead--let alone engage in--a conversation about open source AI but please please please if you are such a person maybe start screaming this from the rooftops:

Depending on foreign-made open models is both a supply chain risk and an innovation problem, experts say.

There is a special brand of white supremacy that's still lingering in St. Louis County that makes me want to punch a puppy.

And I really love puppies.

But systemic racism and (literal) provincial AF wanna-be elitism? Not so much.

I'm so sick of it. And it's gonna get worse before it gets better.
November 20, 2025 at 2:56 PM
Yeah...this is the literal definition of a surveillance state.

White people? This is coming for you next if you don't show up and vote for candidates who vow to abolish ICE.
NEW: a contractor is paying random people $300 to physically track immigrants for ICE. They're given addresses, vehicles, told to monitor the target. That information then goes back up to ICE. These are not licensed private investigators; members of the public

In what I can only imagine is a trend that's about to get worse for newer entrants into the social space (such as it is): I deleted this app from my phone. I stopped using Meta apps on my phone years ago. I'll remain active on Threads for now.

To all of you who constantly trash "the mainstream media" on this platform: please remind yourselves that it was a Miami Herald journalist who uncovered the extent of Epstein's abuses by interviewing dozens of victims.

Her name: Julie K. Brown.
November 15, 2025 at 4:31 PM
I'm asking you to re-examine the critical and historic work of the Julie K. Brown and how she spent years exposing Epstein. Starting...here.

I really hope you all are doing okay.

Maybe we need to accept that social platforms at scale peaked and it's time to make different choices in terms of how we connect and communicate w/each other.

Unless we want to continue eating at the same restaurant that serves terrible food and complaining about how bad it is in the restaurant?
at a freakin minimum the censors should disclose this detail about their chilling, de-platforming choices
Bluesky should really specify whether a suspension is temporary or permanent.

Hey, Team. I'm starting to realize the problem with this platform is that there just aren't enough people using it. I would love to see some DAU graphs for the last quarter.

I am losing hope that spending my time on here is remotely constructive or has a future.

Welcome your thoughts.

No, but we'll for sure ask how much time you spent in hair and make up this morning, because honestly who wears a bandana like that unless it's staged, my girl?

This is what happens when you don't have a good caucus leader who makes you shit yourself if you go against them.

So, if they're afraid of Schumer and this is what he wanted: We need new leadership.

If they're NOT afraid of Schumer and he wasn't able to lead: We need new leadership.
Eight Dems voted with GOP to end the shutdown, but there were more ready to call it quits.

They just didn't wanna take the heat for it.

“There were a lot more than eight that were really happy that the eight of us voted … the way we did,” Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), one of those 8, said Monday.

However you feel today, rage posting/doom scrolling helps exactly zero people. We're all in agreement here. Unless you're a journalist posting breaking news, take a day. Take two. Take the week. This place isn't going anywhere.

Give yourself a break. Things are hard enough. Marathon not a sprint.

This chyron is as dumb as anything CNN could ever come up with, because the clarity of Newsom here is what we should all be taking in. On our toes, not on our heels. That was the Democratic Party of old. Trump expected us to write an oped.

This is what showing up to a gun fight w/a gun looks like.

I know that many of you will decry this as mere political stunt. Here's what I have to say to that.

If Missouri conservatives paid more attention to politics and understood how important role the SOS in fair elections, not only would Hoskins not have this gig, but they would prefer it to be nonpartisan.

And it should be.

The guy would sell out his mother if it meant making Trump happy.

This me.
I’ve been on a ~journey~ with social media lately, in part linked to burnout and my own serious concerns about how it‘s harming our information ecosystem and therefore the human race.

But I have to say that at times like this, Bluesky’s ability to surface important news is now unmatched.

Two questions.

One: see below.

Two: Does anyone get any engagement on here or is your feed a ghost town like mine?
Someone pls tell me succinctly about the sudden beef re: this platform's moderation policies? I have limited time and just haven't been paying attention to the comings and goings.

FWIW: I think social is a dying medium, but maybe that's just me. I've posted before about "old mall vibes".
