My 1st ever attempt at Brandy Snaps. This has been driven by the fact that at $9 for a packet of 8 it must be cheaper to make my own. I finally got the correct bake in the final batch after playing round with heights of oven trays and timing. Will fill tomorrow for a taste test & will update

The Beasterly Easterly which has been smacking us around here in Ōtautahi can get itself gone. The dreaded hikoi back to the car across Hagley park into the teeth of the wind after a long day of mahi. Wearing headphones helps a bit & I sometimes wear a mask to avoid the dust

Unfortunately this is the fate of many a pilot scheme. I’ve been involved in 2 pilot schemes which were purposeful, targeted & incredibly effective but were mothballed once the funding ended. Never to be seen again.
A patient says a specialist service at Christchurch Hospital for patients with troublesome veins should be made permanent to save both money and “human suffering”.

I’m on Day 3 of #FleurWoods workshop. To step out of real life & spend time in a creative space is magic for the soul. It’s an incredible privilege to be able to do this. There are 2 days left of it.
