I think he would probably try, but I also think Congress will push back on Vance much more than they are Trump. They don’t fear Vance. Presumably, Goebbels (Miller) will have less influence in a Vance presidency too.

I get it, but think about it like this:
The entire House loses their position at the end of this term.
Elections are run by states. Let’s say red states all cancel the midterms (they can’t). Blue states won’t.

I don’t think so, no. Trump has been trying to set that up in every state he’s been in. He wants a reason to invoke the Insurrection Act, but they know they lack the legal basis to do it now.
If some local law enforcement or national guard end up clashing with ICE, though, who knows?

We’re moving a carrier strike group and other assets into the region.
The consensus was that we didn’t have enough that was immediately deployable to actually topple the regime.
