Idk. It's the NW corner of the state (Bentonville) and R +13. Probably a district we couldn't otherwise win. These are the types of places where it really can't do any harm. Think of it as an experiment. If next year's a wave year, it's one more vote for Speaker if he wins.

There are a lot of roadblocks to the ICC prosecuting American officials, but that's a political and legislative issue that's a hell of a lot more easily overcome than a pardon. FWIW, I think we need to consider a Constitutional amendment regarding pardon powers since Trump is apparently selling them

The painful truth we must confront is that while Hegseth and Bradley may have pulled the trigger, the American people handed them the loaded gun. We all have a collective responsibility for this and our collective responsibility now is to end it.

Isn't the point of a moral compass times like these? None of this was morally difficult under even a rudimentary ethical framework. Just a total collapse of professed ideals across many sectors of American society.

This is true for many institutions. Universities, law firms and corporations don't look great, either. The problem of institutional rot is widespread and the military isn't an exception. FWIW, I suspect that the military will rediscover its moral compass faster than most. Hopefully.
