I’m sorry Lewis, tinnitus is so debilitating. I heard on the radio this week of a promising simple new treatment to reduce tinnitus, if it comes good it’s going to make a world of difference to huge numbers of people.

The EHRC put it like this in the current code:

No, guidance is not enforceable because it’s not rules. Legislation often imposes an obligation on defined people or bodies to “have regard to” guidance & the expectation is that it will usually be followed; but where there is good reason to depart this may be judged lawful if challenged.

100% this. She doesn’t appear to have read either judgment, or if she has she doesn’t understand - either way it’s clearly a problem giving her power.
I find all varieties of the “enemies of the people” trope quite troubling, including that Banksy on the RCJ that so many progressives seem to love.

Having then recently learned his mother had painted this rather wonderful picture, I remember thinking Johnson’s claim that he enjoyed painting passengers on to empty wine boxes he’d made in to buses might just be a rare frank & honest response. “If only he’d made his hobby his career” I wished.
