Red LED lights: not very effective for maintaining dark phase in the vivarium, definitely noteworthy for people working with reverse light/dark schedules
#JNeurosci: Stritzel et al. found that brief nighttime exposure to dim red light conditions widely used in rodent research caused circadian disruption and red light stimuli were detected by the rodent visual system. ‪@colorado.edu‬ @vulintus.com

A US judge has ordered hundreds of terminated research projects at the US National Institutes of Health to be reinstated, calling the processes that led to their cancellation “bereft of reasoning”.
