So can any wise folks explain where the real discrepancy lies with AWPU funding and the NFF? Is it the formula that needs to change or the application of it at LA level or both? It can't be right a school 5 miles away gets 1k more / pupil.

#deepseek really is amazing. The whole preamble to show the thought process before providing the response is amazing. The ability to add attachments too is significant. Another step down the Ai road.

Wasn't he pivotal in many of those sections that led to this? 🤔🤔
Former schools minister Nick Gibb said 'we have let down thousands' of children with special educational needs who instead needed a 'very specialist approach'

Trying to work out how I just filter out Trump and Musk from all posts as I just don't want to see them at all.

This is the harsh reality and I would also add their own mental wellbeing, when they are forced to make morally wrong decisions for their community and teams. You can't lead without caring for both and cuts undermine all you've worked hard to create with your team.

School leaders simply can’t make any more cuts without directly harming pupils’ education.

While we recognise the incredibly difficult financial inheritance this government is dealing with, children and young people’s education should not suffer as a result.

Love this and sums up the vast majority of our past government.

We will and the LA have just compounded it further for schools in our area by a 0.5% from the School Block to SEND. It's creating retention issues we don't need and can ill afford.
The Government’s new decision will ensure almost every school in the UK has additional cuts on top of more than a decade of austerity.

But our schools cannot make more cuts. Heads, teachers and school staff have done all they can.

How many LAs have raided the schools block funding to support SEND? Creating another dent in budgets that were already not balancing. Some schools in our LA close to 80k on provisional indicative figures. A nightmare for leaders and likely to have minimal positive impact on children.
