The Conservatives are forcing a vote on a wrecking amendment to the Children's Wellbeing & Schools Bill to push a national inquiry that Labour will HAVE to vote against.
If the Bill died now there'd be no new protections for vulnerable kids - and no inquiry.

I see three distinct phases. Pre-Fox, when opinion was diverse but actual facts were indisputable.
Fox/Trump, where objective truth was subjected to the false equivalence of ‘alternative facts’ (ie lies).
And now, where media & tech platform owners collude with him to drown out the truth altogether.

To recoup the outstanding/lost £23bn from the financial/banking sector, following the bailout during the financial crisis. We think this should be recouped through emergency taxation on banks, and that this could be used to fill what has been described as £22bn black hole in public finances.

If the Tories defend Jess Phillips, they acknowledge what public service is really about. They are too grubby and unprincipled to do that now. Politics for them is not about serving the best interests of the country. It’s about grubbing for power, no matter the cost to the rest of us. Loathsome.
