Sorry if I sounded judgy - I didn’t mean to. I hope the dog is feeling better. xx

Oh you’re welcome. Crackles not as good as open fire, but better than nothing if you don’t have one. 😊

Thanks. Mother sectioned and in secure MH unit for another couple of weeks - the respite is a great relief. xx

Whoops! Did you have to answer the door to Asda in your PJs? 😆

Poor dog. I’m sure being cooped up in a car while owner at work will help it feel better! 😔

Argos sell them. Here’s a clip of the sound mine makes - you might have to turn the volume up to hear it as it’s not very loud. Mr M can’t hear it at all, so I don’t know if you will, but it’s worth a try. We don’t have an open fire here, but I find this a good substitute for the sound. 😊 xx

That’d explain it, but why not just say so? She’s rude and unkind. xx

Do you like those Woodwick scented candles, with crackling wicks? 😊 I love the sound they make, but I wish they did an unscented one because I’m not so keen on the smell.
November 23, 2025 at 9:24 PM
I think you did it really well. 😊

So a particularly special thing for you to do for another mum, potentially. xx

When I lived in Yorkshire, the mother of a friend had Great Danes. She was a horsey type and the dogs got plenty of exercise running round in paddocks on her land, I think. Perhaps that’s what others do too, which is why we don’t see them v often? GDs not a long-lived breed, sadly.

Coal tits and blue tits are adorable - long-tailed tits too. 😊
