And as for Spaceman, it was more of a character study about loneliness, relationships, and there's also a philosophical spider in there. Truth be told, it's kind of hard to go into further detail without spoiling the rest.

I will say in regards to Cobbler, it does start off with some similar parallels to Click lol. Both movies star workaholic individuals who are tired of the never ending grind only to be given a special gift to break that mundanity.

I guess while I'm on the topic of Burton takes, I definitely believe he has amounted to more than no good movies since 2001, which is a take I've seen some unironically go for. I thought Big Fish, Corpse Bride, and Big Eyes were all great, and I haven't even seen stuff like Sweeny Todd yet.

In fact, there are various directors who have dedicated Wikipedia charts showcasing their most frequent collaborators. If anything I think it shows a level of trust between the 2 that they were willingly to work together for so many projects.

I want to engage with more nuanced works, but my problem is that I'm just too preoccupied with watching more important pieces of art.

I had a similar experience with Frances Ha. Not a bad movie per say, but I didn't get much out of it. But that was less a failing on the movies part and more so I just wasn't in the right headspace when viewing. I get the impression that I would enjoy it a lot more if I were to rewatch it.

And it's strange too because other poorly received movies from the 80's that got revised poster art don't look quite so hacked together.

...and so this cobbled together photoshop wreck was born. I assumed this poster was for something like the DVD release but no, that's not the case. The DVD cover looked something like this, not great but at least it looks like a real movie. So I wonder where that terrible poster came from.

I am probably the only person on the planet to make fanart for this movie. Funnily enough though, Sandler doesn't even wear this attire at any point in the film. Idk it communicates to me that whoever was assigned the task of redesigning the movies poster just didn't give a sh*t about it...

Remember that Happy Gilmore piece I did a couple months ago? I decided to make a follow up, expect instead of doing it for Sandler's most iconic film, I'm doing it for his most obscure, Going Overboard. I based the illustration off of the movie's hilariously terrible poster.

Probably a dumb question but does this pledge apply if I watch any video on Channel Awesome (like Disneycember, miscellaneous discussions, any of his movies, Demo Reel, not like I'd be watching that but it'd be good to know)? or is it specifically the standard review episodes of Nostalgic Critic?
