I quit because of the shows politics. To me, it's clearly a critique of left-wing ideology/socialism/collectivism, and we're supposed to see Carole as this unambiguous voice of reason and individuality amid the mass of the woke/ hive mind. I think I would be more open to an exploration of this topic in a different time, when America isn't run by right-wing nut jobs who are grabbing people off the street and sending them to hellholes without due process, and it strikes me that Vince Gilligan may be insulated from this dynamic because he's extremely wealthy and probably one of these libertarian types who thinks "both sides" are wrong, which just isn't true right now.
