Also, they’re in completely different containers. Like, unless you’re the Barefoot Contessa and prepping by pouring sugar and salt into identical little dishes and placing them right next to one another beforehand…

Imagine putting “anti-racism” on a list of banned subjects and still believing you’re one of the good guys… This list is appalling!

I just want audiences to be patient and open to new things. Universe was fabulous, had an incredible cast, and set up some MASSIVE threads, and people torpedoed it. Star Trek Discovery faced similar backlash later on for the same reason, but the studio stood by it. I hope they learned from that.

It depends on the axis, I guess
Thickness? Stew
Savoury vs sweet? Punch(?)
Dinner vs breakfast? Porridge
Solidness? Quiche

Siiiiiigh. It’s okay for flawed characters to be complex while still having done bad things. I hate this idea that giving monstrous characters any kind of nuance “absolves” them. Like, no, Jack faces consequences, and he understands that in the end. But he’s not absolved somehow.

Oh man, writing workshops are brutal, but they’re SO GOOD at weeding out the people who write not because they love writing but because they want others to tell them how creative they are. I’ve seen so many half-baked dreams die tragic deaths in writing workshops…
