While we’re talking James Bond, please read these books (book three incoming). It features great queer and disability rep, and one of the agents is a nod to Julian Bashir’s James Bond DS9 episode “Our Man Bashir,” and Book one features a Bond Boy with a history with one of the male agents!

Sitting at work listening to “Selina Transforms II” from the Batman Returns score and laughing to myself at how much this scene affected Tiny Me, even though I couldn’t possibly comprehend the emotions being expressed at that age. It’s still such an outstanding moment of pure acting and music.

RIGHT?!? I love them so much! One of my favourite birds. And when they’re curious, they can unfold and go SHOOP!

The cat was desperate for cuddly nap time, and I’ve been able to oblige for about 20 minutes, but I have to go to the dentist and ABANDON her like a HEARTLESS CRETIN. Sigh.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains

Your last saved pic is your moral philosophy

(Uhhhhh… maybe my philosophy is support artists because they create stuff like this iconic image from Star Wars?)

No cheating. Your last saved celebrity photo is your therapist. Who is it?

I’m okay with that.

Question for the floor: SPQR has a million years hold on Libby. What is a good history of Ancient Rome that may be easier to check out? Bonus points if it touches on Roman religion in a meaningful way. I’m pregaming my Aeneid read. Thanks!

Here’s a furry sequel to Fiddler on the Roof featuring horrors conjured from a child’s imagination such as evil ocean storm monsters and The Motherfucking Mouse of Minsk!

(This is still one of my favourite movies ever).

Tom Clancy is a guilty pleasure of mine. This one’s a cracking spy thriller that has a side of American exceptionalism and quaint Republican fantasies about how the world works. But it’s still fun.

This was a gorgeous read, and I am so excited to start in on book 2. Phenomenal nuanced characterization, fabulous prose, and a dark sense of humour that fits the storm-swept setting.

Goddess of the River by Vaishnavi Patel is a beautiful follow up to Kaikeyi, looking at the complex relationship between a goddess and her mortal son amidst the backdrop of the events of the Mahabharata. app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/581a...

Finn and Poe forever! They’re the best couple, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s canonical.

I found where the misinformation came from! It was a footnote in the study bible I got as a teenager. Proof that such texts AREN’T often very academically sound and are used to further incorrect ideas that are often harmful to minorities.

Thanks for the clarification! And that points to another big issue with evangelical spaces. It’s easy for incorrect (or incomplete) information to be passed on that is in service to harmful narratives and there’s no questioning those narratives in those spaces.
