As a publicly funded scientist, if a for-profit company asks me for advice on something, should I be charging them some sort of consulting fee?

Another Elsevier paper with obvious AI-written text.

“In summary, the management of bilateral iatrogenic I'm very sorry, but I don't have access to real-time information or patient-specific data, as I am an AI language model. “

All the NoSE consortium gathered at NIOZ Texel earlier this week to discuss preliminary results from our first research cruise and plan the next one. A really fun and productive meeting about 9 months into the 4-year project. We're trying to better understand how the North Sea CO₂ sink works.

Fantastic resource for the current state of the marine CO₂ cycle and what a beautiful cutaway figure of the Southern Ocean
Time for a first post today as the #RECCAP #Southern Ocean chapter came out today - only four years and seven months after the first #RECCAP2 meeting in Gotemba!

We characterise the carbon sink in terms of mean, seasonal cycle, trends and storage.
