Perfect morning for a CTD. Is the Norwegian Trench always like this in early May?

Thanks, that makes sense!

As a publicly funded scientist, if a for-profit company asks me for advice on something, should I be charging them some sort of consulting fee?

Excited to be back in Ostend for a workshop on the North Sea in a changing climate at VLIZ
Another Elsevier paper with obvious AI-written text.

“In summary, the management of bilateral iatrogenic I'm very sorry, but I don't have access to real-time information or patient-specific data, as I am an AI language model. “
Still laughing hours after I read this. So true so true

PyCO2SYS is finally now also installable with conda/mamba via conda-forge pyco2sys.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Attention marine carbon-13 isotope enthusiasts! I recently completed a big update to our expanding global marine 𝛅13C-POC dataset on doi.org/10.1594/PANG... via
@PANGAEAdataPubl
. It has been a big effort from Maria-Theresia and me so please check it out, RT, and use it!

Love these Den Helder autumn mornings

Was fully expecting to see 1st April as publication date

Hi, please add me to the list! 🙏 - scholar.google.com/citations?hl...

All the NoSE consortium gathered at NIOZ Texel earlier this week to discuss preliminary results from our first research cruise and plan the next one. A really fun and productive meeting about 9 months into the 4-year project. We're trying to better understand how the North Sea CO₂ sink works.

Just a gentle tickle I think, no cause for concern
Bon voyage!

Fantastic resource for the current state of the marine CO₂ cycle and what a beautiful cutaway figure of the Southern Ocean
Time for a first post today as the #RECCAP #Southern Ocean chapter came out today - only four years and seven months after the first #RECCAP2 meeting in Gotemba!

We characterise the carbon sink in terms of mean, seasonal cycle, trends and storage.

I've thought about this a few times, but have always ended up at the conclusion that it fails the xkcd "is it worth the time?" test
