Not scary, but extremely disturbing! It’s a film that is still as chilling even decades later.

I found this film to be very moving and I expect Jessie Buckley to get lot of nominations during award season.

This reminded me of the film Radium Girls. I don’t think it was good, but it’s an important subject.

We covered Jingle All the Way for a recent episode and that was one of my main takeaways too.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up!

I respect activity like this! I appreciate authenticity. Not every film is 4.5 or 5 stars.

Sometimes I’m watching something that I know will be a 3 star film at BEST!

I like “fun bad” films!

Thanks for listening!

Yes, I was honestly surprised Isaiah had only recently watched Die Hard! It’s shocking how many r rated films I’d seen growing up in the 1980s!

Paul Blart fits, but that was a reference to a tv movie starring Dean Cain 😄

I agree. The first time I watched the film I remember wondering what writer/director Parker Finn must have been going through to write something so bleak. Other films dealing with the same topic usually offer at least some small ray of hope.

If you told me this was a fan-made trailer using AI I’d believe you 100%!

I triple checked to make sure this was real and I still can’t believe this comes from a major studio! 😬

I made the mistake of initially listening to this while I was eating lunch. I had to turn it off when you were talking about the grossest scenes. 😅🤢

Exactly! Just because something exists doesn’t mean it deserves reverence. I’m all for remakes and adaptations. Especially when they improve on films that didn’t work the first time around.

Great listening to this after hearing you mention “The Gift of Fear” on other episodes! I love that Tess is so smart! The cast is perfect! As you said, Bill Skarsgard has the perfect creepy/handsome look that makes the first half very tense. I love how Justin Long commits to making AJ so vile!

Nice video especially because there is overlap in the timeline of the events.

I enjoyed Dead Presidents (especially Chris Tucker’s role) even though I felt the production value wasn’t good for the Vietnam scenes.

Paranoia is such an understandably prominent theme in many war films.

I think Ving Rhames would have worked!
