They/them
Is the telegraph's argument that, now that the British Empire's atrocities are more well known, we should focus on other empires that could potentially be nicer (lmao) so we don't think empire itself could be bad (shocker!)?

The tragic thing is that this won't be enough for them. They wouldn't be satisfied until they can expunge every trans friendly person and thought from the organisation (and even that won't make them happy!)

Normally people articulate what they mean the first time they write something. It's sort of the whole purpose of language. But I guess some people might need a couple of goes at it and I'm not judging that!

You keep saying that people are misrepresenting what you are saying. But, if that is the case, it is interesting that they are all misrepresenting it in the same way. Almost as if that's the overt reading of what you said. Would be good for you to articulate what you actually meant if so

"Remember, every political party does things just as bad as covering up rape. That actually means it all cancels out and it isn't actually a problem 😊"

"Obviously I know about all the rape cover ups, you gormless rube! But I'm not hearing an actual argument tho 😊"

On a personal note, I would also like to see Mark Serwotka utterly eat shit and have to tie himself to the mast of trans rights. But I know how he works, and I doubt he will respect a mandate for trans support just because people voted for it.

Watch him closely. Watch Your Party closely.

I don't feel politics should be a place where "blessed are those who believe but do not see" is a held position. I do want to see results now. Demonstrate to the trans folks you didn't support from day 1 that you actually mean business.

Given that the founding of the party has almost universally been labelled a shambles, I'm going to let that slide for now. But I want to see them take clear steps to further enshrine the support of trans folks, especially given Mark S's prominent position in the party.

Trans people die every day, by the hands of others, or by their own through despair. Every day. It is continuous. To see this horror and sit idly by to debate what position to take in all of this seems genuinely baffling. I don't think I can truly convey the desperation of Trans folks in words

For a party that has to square the circle of appealing to urban progressives and NIMBY rural landowners simultaneously, I have no doubt the Green party is riddled with transphobes. But seeing a leader unfalteringly stand behind trans people when the alternative dithered and debated is noticeable

For all of the downsides of the "rule by decree" policy of the Green party since Zack took over, it has spared Trans people the indignity of once again seeing their beings become yet another subject of debate.

The clarity of message means any deviation will be noticed immediately.
