You know I’ve been thinking about it and for all the years we’ve been lied to and been told we can’t handle the truth…maybe our standing in the world is more dangerous than we know. Can it really be about not wanting to provide for American citizens healthcare or are we on the edge of annihilation?

Nothing about the destruction of a bombing should *ever* be referenced in the passive voice, as if it had been the weather, as if those bombs weren’t built, bought, and deployed as an act of will. It’s as hypocritical as burning a human at the stake to “save their immortal soul”.

I’m used to the universal aspect of leftism being seen as naive but why is it considered dishonest? It’s as if surely we must want to exclude or marginalize some people somewhere and are just hiding the impulse. No really I think there is enough for everyone.

I’m no Sapir Whorf hardliner but I find the decline in the quality of US political oratory significant and troubling. Now anyone not simply babbling overt nonsense is credited with the precision of thought and clarity of expression of someone like James Baldwin and it’s absurd.

Seeing frightened children comfort each other has a physiological effect on me and I think about the part of my brain that is activating and wonder what a similar part of an Ocra brain would do. What must they feel when they are moved? It could be unimaginably profound.
