I love bodies of water and opera and other music/theater. Cats, baking, tea. He/him. Westchester County.
But I get to use my own bread in stuffing now

I was sick in June and just yesterday made proper bread for the first time, and I wasn't even exhausted after. It can be a slow, frustrating, non-linear recovery.

Did you have to ghee to the hospital?

I work with the same basic recipe, though I often sub in pineapple and/or ripe pear for the orange. Sugar to taste, of course.

My mother adds in gelatin (often a box of Jell-O) for texture, but I skip that

My preferred tool is a hand crank meat grinder (that isn't also used for meat). No cranberry gets missed.

Also the one my mother has does not hold liquid so it has to be captured in a bowl. Some of that liquid gets mixed back in, but there can be enough for a few small cups of tart juice

I was born in Michigan, but moved across the country shortly after I turned 11.

I would say I was from Michigan when I lived in Arizona but that only worked because most everyone there was from somewhere else (often the Midwest)

Didn't get a pic but Volta was similarly laying in the other corner.

They don't always get access to this room so they have to find the most out of the way places to make a stand

Biggest effect likely to be more attrition during this interval (the only one, after act two).

As I overheard, "we're calling it a night. We heard two good songs and it's nearly ten"

The restart was pretty smooth; got going with Carmen and Manuelita coming into view in the fenced area.

The show is running less than fifteen minutes late, impressive since it started five minutes late as per usual

Could barely hear what was being yelled. Something "Heritage Foundation." All I could read from the signs was Koch

It just showed up on (American) Netflix! I hadn't found any way to watch it until now

The 2023 production by Tobias Kratzer for Deutsche Oper Berlin goes, if not all in, pretty far with this.
