IMO Cabaret borrows so little from Goodbye to Berlin that it might as well have changed Sally's name, cited GtB as one of several influences, and made Brian distinct enough from Isherwood that he could be seen as an entirely new character.

Like, it's extremely crass to take a gay man's work and turn his gay character Based On Himself into a bisexual man so he can have a sexual relationship with a woman. That's gross, actually. Isherwood was rightfully pissed. But it's such a good movie.

Unfortunately I've tried many glasses in many styles, some very expensive, and I hate all of them haha. I wore them every day as a teenager.
