As always, today is a great day to support artists, writers, creators of all sorts. If you have the means, buy a book, sign up for someone's Patreon, commission an art piece. It's also a lovely day to leave a nice comment, post a short review, spread the word about someone's work. Everything helps.

“For the trouble with the real folk of Faerie is that they do not always look like what they are; and they put on the pride and beauty that we would fain wear ourselves.”

My submission for Green Women A Companion has been sent in.
My topic is fairies & the colour green. It was a fascinating thing to research.

"The first Scottish appearance of the term 'fairfolks' occurs in Douglas's translation of the Aenid in 1513. The woods were for long occupied by 'nymphis & fawnys apun euery syde, Quhilk fairfolkis, or than elvys, clepyng we (which we called fair folk & elves)'"

Saw someone say, “Stop hoarding books, we don’t need paper books anyway” and I can’t express how misguided this is. Online libraries disappear, digital books can be altered, and with Big Tech seeking to destroy history and literacy, print media has never been more essential.

Our medieval curator Alison Ray introduces Rawlinson Bodleian Library MS. Rawl. D. 252...a 15th Century necromancer's journal.

This manuscript contains spells written in Latin and Middle English, and would have served as a reference for a professional sorcerer.
