The Finch West LRT is now open! 🥳

While this is great news for Toronto, the LRT has slow average speeds and has only conditional transit signal priority (activating when the train is late).

MTSO continues to support implementing full TSP on Lines 5 & 6 to speed up travel times for riders.

The Eglinton Crosstown LRT has officially reached substantial completion. And according to Premier Ford the line could be open in just a few weeks for the start of 2026. Service will run roughly every 5 minutes from 6am-11pm on opening day. With more service planned in the future

Good News! Line 2 is completely free of slowzones as of today, and Line 1 has four slowzones which are planned to be removed by the end of the month. Hopefully the system can be slowzone free by the end of the year.

The last takeaway is about the Milton line. Currently the Milton and Richmond Hill lines are the only lines without Two Way All Day service, however in this map the Richmond Hill line is classified under peak only service, and the Milton line is included with the other 7 lines. 4/4

Another takeaway is that only options 1&2 from the Sheppard Subway consultations in 2024 appear on this map. The third option which was an eastern extension all the way to Morningside does not appear on this map. 3/4

The first takeaway is for the Hurontario LRT. The proposed city centre loop shows 3 potential options which includes the original loop, but also an extension to the south and west. 2/4

When Mount Dennis GO/UP opens this Sunday, UP express travel times will increase from 25 minutes to 28 minutes in both directions for all trips.

Did you know that when Mount Dennis GO opens this Sunday. It'll be 3x faster to get to Union Station than it currently takes. The fastest trips today take around 45 minutes, on Sunday it'll take just 13 minutes. This is the power of regional rail.

#NEWS: Waterloo Regional Council voted 15-1 in favour of the full-route LRT extension to Cambridge, with construction planned to start as early as 2028. Many community members spoke in support of the extension, noting the need for equity, active transportation & housing density in Cambridge.

It seems that the Canada Public Transit Fund will be changing as part of todays budget announcement. We will see what those changes are when the budget gets released.

However, there’s always room for improvement. Having more weekend trips to Kitchener and 2WAD service in the next few years will be essential to growing the Toronto-Kitchener corridor.

🚆 Kitchener-Waterloo residents are finally getting what they've been wanting for decades.

Weekend GO service to Kitchener will officially start on November 23rd, with four weekend trips being extended from Mount Pleasant to Kitchener GO.

Good News! The long awaited Confederation GO station is now complete, and service will start on October 27th. There will be 13 weekday trips and 15 weekend trips serving the station once open. All existing Niagara trains will stop at the station, and some trips will be extended from West Harbour

Barrie has a new transit terminal! 🚌

The Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal provides regional transit connections between Simcoe County, Northern Ontario, and the GTA. It has 10 bus bays, indoor waiting areas and improved accessibility features.
