I think if you combine this with what Liz Reid said in a recent WSJ interview, the future of AI Mode (and what it needs before full-on SERP integration happens) is multi-media text output (see image) + original source firsthand knowledge exploration (podcasts, YouTube content, etc.).

I'll give you some context, because I am an old person. There used to be 50 rank tracking tools (I know because I literally built the brand of one of them from scratch). How come there are like 3 now?

That isn't the case anymore to the same extent. And from what I've seen, instead of moving the narrative, the tools just double down. No, that really "shiny" data point you shared, is not actually meaningful to people controlling budgets.

These dime-a-dozen LLM visibility tools are still talking to their audiences as if the hype cycle is the incentive to purchase.

because at a certain point someone, whether it be procurement or the VP of marketing is going to ask why you're paying $600 a month for a tool that hasn't changed the narrative for the team.
