Yeah it's hard not to shut down after seeing so much horror and suffering... and then there's the guilt, because we have the privilege of actually being able to shut it off while they can't...

I get that. Sucks for TikTok, I stopped using it because I would get sucks it for hours but I enjoyed it!
I just like how Twitch closes the distance with live chatting and Discord is so versatile: like a forum people post at their leisure but you can also live chat if people are online at the time.

Interesting! Discord is the main way I engage with people online, more than I do even Twitch. I mainly join friends' servers, servers of streamers I like and gaming servers (like modding for specific games and stuff). If I had to give up all but one social media, I would no doubt choose Discord.
