A hulking, armored figure stands upon a stage wreathed in spotlights, their cloak of feathers hiding much of his sharp, corvid armor features and clawed gauntleted hands, a massive greatsword held casually in one. Two figures kneel behind it, bound with shadowy chains, forced into a position that prevents them from turning or rising against their fetters. On the left, a young man with a wound on his chest seen through his open shirt hangs his head so that his hair falls in front of his face, obscuring the markings on his skin. He casts he eyes to the side, seemingly aware of the other figures he cannot see. The woman bound in the same manner casts her eyes downward, her dress plunged low to expose the matching wound over her heart. She cannot bring herself to raise her head, staring at the floor, the only thing in her sight a glimpse of the wicked blade that the creature wields to torment the world of mortals. Both souls trapped by the creature, it's victim's slain and hearts eaten, so that it might use their memories and likeness to do the dark works ahead.

Darby Westfeld. Half-elf (#pf2e) dressed in gray-moss pants, high leather boots, and silvery half-plate with a teel underlayer. The armor's decorated with symbols for the moon, and there's butterfly motifs around her representing the goddess Desna. She has auburn hair, and is in concentrated chanting to cast a spell. Beams of light emanate from her hands, sending rays out in every direction from her chest. A stack of old worn books. A violin, which ordinarily isn't a "smell" but many instruments carry a subtle but pleasing scent of their wood and varnish. An overgrown farm field in front of a red barn in ill-repair.

Bailey Blackbough. A gray-skinned woman (#pf2e fetchling) striking a pose on stage. She wears a breezy monochrome outfit that hugs her legs and has floofy sleeves. A spotlight hits above her, casting her shadow forward and illuminating a beam of orange. She grasps chains of light, many of which criss-cross the stage. A floral gin cocktail in an elegant coupe, garnished with flowers and a golden spear-pick. A batch of cooling blueberry muffins, along with fresh blueberries. A lidded jar with lilac sugar in it - mostly white sugar with bits of purple flowers. It sits on a dark wood table, with leaf-bearing lilac sprigs around it.

Feeling extremely normal about my PF2e Swashbuckler taking her twiggy Nidalese theyfriend on a date to their last “dungeon” adventure, to pick fingerbones out of a building collapse and admire the fully removed nervous systems they fought as undead.

She’s worried they’re going to be bored. :(

Captain Torture
