Playing around with ui using [gum](docs.flatredball.com/gum). I added a super simple checkbox to toggle fullscreen. I'll try to make an actual pause menu next, but it'll probably take a while. Wish me luck! #monogame #aworldbelow

keyboard input in secondary windows has been achieved! i basically just created a non-static keyboard class which mimics monogame's keyboard class, but instantiated per-window, and either uses the default keyboard class for the main window or form key down/up events for secondary winforms windows

I know I know, sudden silence but I'm still working on more monogame stuff
I went for a new prototype that is more MonoGame'ish (it still uses adaptive computations)
but leans more in using standard GameComponents and Drawable components.

i haven't posted about it here yet, but i finally got super mario bros to run on my new nes emulator, as well as a bunch of other games. currently working on secondary windows so my debugging tools aren't so cramped, but that's easier said than done in monogame

Here's a Pong clone coded with #monogame. I spent less than three evenings on it, as it's very basic: no scoring, no victory system, no sound (for now).

I've been working on using Monogame as my main set of tools for gamedev these last few weeks. Trying out what can be done, I think it is the best of both worlds.

Not all the jank of learning how an editor works with an engine and eventually building or using your own set of tools and rules.
