i think i'm just kinda like. i got into this hobby super late. i have no time, finances or energy to really invest in getting better at it. i'm a visibly middle aged frumpy human in a sea of beautiful young things. I suck at makeup. I suck at hair. but I want to do it anyway, so fuck it.

cosplay is a healthy hobby for me because for some reason it's the only creative thing I can do with a 'eh it's good enough' attitude. i WILL half arse everything, i WILL cut corners, and it'll be fine, because who gives a shit? not me babey! Idk why I can't apply this override to everything else

i also picked wayyy too lightweight a fabric to make this haori especially given the time of year but whatever I have 2 days to finish it, it's gonna have to be good enough. belt & wig still need doing too. It'll be grand.
