Charging a battery with an old, inefficient gas plant gives you a greenhouse gas profile like a coal fired power plant. The “mighty Moss” simple-cycle units tied to those stacks were retired to make way for the flagship storage project procured under California’s mandate.

I’m old enough to remember being an expert witness for EarthJustice to implement the Energy Storage Roadmap and mandate in 2014-15, the CPUC proceeding where we were literally defined what counted as “energy storage.” Wild to see how far we’ve come.
California has installed 17,000 MW of batteries connected to the electricity grid, up from 500 MW in 2020. 🔋🔌💡

This town has officially decided to fight against the construction of an AI data center that would service a nuclear weapons laboratory 1,500 miles away.

Amber Fellows, a Ypsilanti Township councilmember, tells us why:

To the families innocent victims of Trump'sAbuse of Power BLOWING UP BOATS based on "alleged" drug smuggling - WE ARE SO VERY SORRY.

Despite my deep embarrassment of being an American today, I pray a day will come when Trump is held accountable for these war crimes.

American sucks right now.

Trump is not fighting a drug war in the Caribbean and the Eastern Pacific.

In a drug war you capture the boats you take what they got you put them in prison and get more information from them.

What Trump is doing makes no sense in an actual drug war.

What he's doing looks more like murder.

Nothing nuanced about it. Trump and Hegseth are war criminals for murdering civilians.

Irrelevant whether they were fishermen, drug runners or even terrorists.

The test according to the law of the Sea is were they actively attacking U.S. forces?

The answer is clearly no.

So it's murder.

They claim this operation is to stop drugs from entering the “Homeland” and killing its people.

Remember when Trump pardoned a convicted drug dealer who helped bring 100,000kg of drugs into the country?

I do, because on Monday he went back to jail for sexual assault.

It’s not about drugs.
