We have been busy validating the peripherals and interfaces on the @particleiot.bsky.social Tachyon EVT units. This is me “testing” the SPI interface.

So far, I have a Spotify now-playing info fetcher, an Instagram photo streamer, and voice controlled radar and weather data display!

This was a fun project! A Particle Photon 2 connects over Wi-Fi to retrieve the day’s weather forecast, sunrise and sunset times, and wind conditions, displaying everything on an @adafruit 170x320 TFT screen.

An old USB-C phone dock makes for a perfect programming/charging station for this little lander! 🚀

Running some test animations on the latest lander sculpture. I had to time box myself this weekend to work on the console design, otherwise I can spend countless hours tweaking and redesigning it 😅

Reunited with my precious Casio watch that I had accidentally left at the SFO airport’s security check point more that a month ago. They finally found it! They had to retrieve it from the “non-valuable” bins 😅
