Americans have a right to a government that works for them and not as a means to enrich elected officials. I have 2 proposals that will help restore confidence in a government that works for all the people and not just for the 537 elected officials who occupy the White House and the Capitol.

A lot of what needs to be done to address the affordable housing crisis has to take place at state and local levels, but there are things Congress can do to help. Here are 2 idea.

The Big Beautiful Bill is great for farmers … if they’re massive corporate farms growing 1 of 22 specific crops. It’s not good for the 5,000 farmers in Western North Carolina who it hurts more than it helps. Chuck Edwards and his rich donors are getting richer on the backs of working class families.

Roy Cooper is right … and that’s why I’m running for Congress. We’re in a crisis and a crisis isn’t the time for novices to go to Washington and spend a year or two figuring out how to do the job … preserving democracy has no time to waste. Experience matters!
