Computers to make a living. Bicycles, trains, urbanism and cities to live. Fountain pens to write, by preference.
It is really good and I am enjoying it greatly!

Cost of a 16GB Pi5 vs cost of your time and aggravation dealing with it, makes sense. Looking forward to seeing your results.

That would make sense. The EC.2 instances were all of the smaller variety.

Have had multiple developers at work crash AWS EC.2 instances doing remote dev with VSC so I don’t think it’s just you.

I am promised trains. Therefore I purchase the book. Done.

I have a Load 75 (purchased just before the Carrie came out), so I completely get it. The Carrie does seem to be a great 'small bakfiets' though. Need to try one at some point.

The Carrie looks very cool. How does it ride?

I'm very excited by it. I'm also looking at the rich retro-oligarchs in the background and stuff like the Boring Company vs. California HSR, not to mention the current administration, and going 'hope I live to see it'.

May this be ratioed so hard the article self-retracts.

Just reread them last week. So much fun. So much smart.

I generally dislike the flood of cheap, low quality hub-drive e-bikes into the US market, and Ford is an automotive company, not a bicycle company, but still. If you had me choose between a Ford e-bike and a good chunk of the junk on r/ebikes I know which I'd get...

Cool. Have pre-ordered and looking forward to it. The sooner the better.

Sorry the print edition won't be out but I'm getting it e-book day one (pre ordered).

Got in a ride yesterday and hauled the kids along because today was going to be so miserable. Tomorrow's going to be even worse. Even with the cargo ebike it's going to be ugly the next couple of days to do anything.

Also Mike Duncan’s Revolutions podcast. 10 seasons of various revolutions from the Glorious Revolution to the Bolsheviks. Then season Eleven went all science fiction and covered a future Martian Revolution. Unexpected and delightful.

Articles of Interest by Avery Trufelman. I am not into fashion but she has a fascinating view into fashion and clothing from a variety of angles. The episode on pockets in women’s clothing completely hooked my daughter.

99PI alum so the sound quality is impeccable.

This was so much fun. Sadly I sold my copy about 20 years ago.

It’s objectively not but I always really enjoyed Blade.
