The comparison has been made. 🤣

Thanks. Interesting. Never did it that way.

I didn’t know that. What’s the flaw, from your perspective? Why is it common? The need to tutorialize?

Fun fact: Jewison wasn’t Jewish.

Never got through the prologue. Now I may return to it.

I came here to say this. 👏

That’s great to hear. A lot of great people worked very hard under intense pressure to deliver that game.

As opposed to what? Dead bodies? 😉

Oh, and I LOVED that development pace: a free update every other month and a big expansion that makes use of the free features every six months. Made for lots of very focused decision-making without a lot of data. So fun!

I truly enjoyed The Lamplighters League’s turn-based gameplay. Our best work in that area.

I’m impressed with the team’s progress on GRAFT, especially in this industry climate.

And it's been long enough and I've lived hard enough that I don't remember anything else.

The first criteria was that Piranha had already developed it. We had an excellent pipeline that allowed us to intake their 'Mechs and animation and add the additional anims we needed, like melee.

It was my call to add the Unseen that we did, but I left the rest of the choices to the lead designer.

Cheers. I really enjoyed leading the post-launch development of BATTLETECH. The team made a great transition from standard gamedev to ongoing support and embraced a different workstyle. Proud of what we did.

Yeah, that was an interesting learning for our expansions. I thought we needed the flashpoint narrative framework and a big new city terrain set but players wanted ‘Mechs more than anything. More than new mission types. More than new maps.
