Antisemitism and Islamophobia are the same. Why distinguish according to the target - the attackers are the same.

Who cares which party a pedophile belongs too. Condemn both democrat and republican indiscriminately
But we can't, because the current administration refuses to release the information. Why would that be?

Working in IT, for many years now the requirement from Cyber Security is that no data is ever stored in a US data centre.
It is well known that the US is a leaky sieve for data and security controls cannot be ensured if information crosses the US borders.

Israel =/= Judaism, Palestine =/= Moslem.
If it was any other state performing genocide on their neighbours the religious aspect would be irrelevant.

The problem is ideological violence - regardless of antisemitism or Islamophobia (or anti-catholic etc.).
Guns just make *everything* worse. The hate becomes pathological.

Islamophobia, antisemitism, or anti-christian. They are all the same. The only difference is which belief system you are hating on.
And (nearly) all the religions ask you to hate on the others.

Republicans? or Conservatives? The distinction is important outside the US.

The attack was near group of Jews - not Israelis. The distinction is important.
And few of the victims were either, they were just people nearby.

There is a chance I might be invited to a conference in US sometime in the next year. I am seriously considering refusing the opportunity because of the instability and violence in the country.

What is the problem in America that guns are the answer? No other country feels the need for everyone to be armed.
The need for protection suggests a deeply held fear within the population. Until the sources of this fear are addressed, the US are likely to keep voting to keep their guns.

The US has ceded, deliberately, the lead role in the global economy and global politics. The world has realised that they do not need to depend on the US - for anything really - and hence are rapidly divesting themselves of dependence on America.

Chocolate in America became popular before refrigeration. Many of the components - notably milk - had a tendency to be slightly... off, when it was used. This became the taste that people adapted to, so now it is artificially duplicated with butyric acid.

Gen X - the lost generation in more ways than one. Too busy looking after Boomers to be children, too busy raising millennials to be adults.

He found billions for himself and his sycophants. It was the USA as a nation that lost out.
December 6, 2025 at 8:31 AM
Too late. The rest of the world are desperately removing any dependency on the US. You are way too unreliable to be part of the global economy.

Sellers appeared on the Muppets once and Kermit asked him about his multiple roles. "What is your true personality?". "I don't have one. I had it surgically removed."

I once saw a poster, at an international conference, titled: "Interesting times with Funny Green Stuff". There was all the usual section (abstract, method, conclusion etc.) but written in surfer-speak. By far the best presentation at the event.

True or not, it is great story
November 24, 2025 at 6:35 AM
True - by definition he is a winner himself so anyone that disagrees with him is a loser. And anyone that flatters him is a winner. Very basic psychology.
November 22, 2025 at 11:27 AM
He is a winner. Trump likes winners. People keep thinking that Trump is right-wing or Republican or some other label.
He is in favor of winners and looks down on losers. That is the entirety of his philosophy.

A side comment based on the image: why are all US (suburban) homes double storey? I see it in movies all the time. It would be unusual in Aus to have a two-story home. Most at single level.

It is the cheapest and most efficient form of energy generation. One way or another renewables are going to win. The question is how many of the steam-power advocates lose their money before that happens.

I can't think of any occasion where I would have *wanted* to kick my dad's ass - or where he would have tried to kick mine.
What sort of family did you grow up in?
