Pregnancy and giving birth could be described as a medical procedure that is "potentially fatal". It definitely has lifelong health consequences. (I am at higher risk of diabetes and heart disease thanks to the things that happened during my pregnancy) Should we stop people doing that?

My now 5 week old son got the RSV shot before we left the hospital (in Ireland). Midwives and nurses were talking about it like it was a miracle cure, because they see so many fewer infants with RSV in the hospital these days.

Irish post offices are practically elder care, whenever you go in some old person who comes in every day will be chatting with the clerk, and it will wait for 15 minutes while they have their daily chat. (this is wonderful, by the way).

I can pretty much guarantee that if anyone installed gym stuff in the airport, it would become a de facto playground immediately, because airports really do lack places for kids to play, and they are desperately needed (kids should be tired when they get on planes).

Exactly. I am currently holding my 5 week old son, so I am very, very aware of how much labour (in many senses) is required of women to produce children. And there is no "nice" way to compel women to put in that labour if they don't want to.
