He said one of your relatives (don’t think it was your grandad, but one of his sons maybe?) was a very good footballer & played for Miltons? High praise indeed from our Leslie

Just having lunch with my dad & he mentioned Jakka, so I asked him about your grandad & he laughed and said “Donny Brown - what a great bloke. Never seen anyone do the times crossword in 5 minutes before! He was a fabulous fella. His wife was a lovely women too” 😊

It didn’t look like that yesterday!! It rained from the moment we woke up to the minute we went to bed. I don’t think I’ve thawed out yet (and neither have my parents & aunties). Would love to have seen all the touristy bits with them but it was just too cold & wet ☔️🥶

The boys in my house missed it last night and have been watching it on catch up this morning…… don’t have her singing APT on my bingo card! They are now hoping she covers it at her concert later in the year because it’ll confuse the older audience members 😂

I picked up the rubbish on my drive yesterday & shoved it in the grey bin. Got up this morning and there was even more there. It can stay there now.

It’s my grey bin day today. It’s not been emptied. Wirral council have put something in their Facebook saying something like ‘we’ll get to it when we can, but we’ll prioritise Monday & Tuesdays collections first’.
I’m watching the weather updates like a mad woman, praying it doesn’t snow again 🙏

No, but every time I see that advert for Shelter with the little boy singing total eclipse of the heart I get a tad emotional & pledge to give him £10

My auntie made up a dance to this back in the day & taught it to us nieces and nephews that we still do to this day when it gets played anywhere 😊

And yet your ‘functioning alcoholics’ who are drinking just as much as the drinkers in town on a daily basis, but not exhibiting the same behaviour, seem very aware of their need to behave in a way that doesn’t draw attention to themselves & how much they are drinking

Slightly different sunset where I am, but still just as pretty 😊🇫🇷

They are keeping me in a job, but admittedly they are pains in the backside.

We went Delamere the other week & the dog loved it. Only thing is it will be like a mud bath now with all that rain this week.

Will ask my dad when I see him tomorrow
November 15, 2025 at 9:17 PM
I’ll certainly mention him to my dad, and I’m sure they’ll have worked alongside each other at some point or other.
My dad was a shop steward towards the end of his time there so he there were some mixed opinions of him shall we say 😂

My dad worked at Jakka! From 1981 to when they moved to Bromborough (2005ish). We used to go the Christmas parties for the workers kids in the social club in the 80’s. Great times 😊

The Priory & Hamilton Square are my favourite places on The Wirral 😊 especially in the spring when the daffodils are coming out x

Walk in a very muddy Delamere Forest with a black & white border collie (who now needs a bath) - not my finest idea since my jeans/coat/jumper have had to go in the wash to remove her muddy paw prints off them 🤦🏻‍♀️

Totally agree! Have had similar conversations with my mum and dad

Social media is a great tool for finding out that people you once thought of as ‘really nice’ are in fact complete morons who are far too quick to share their ill judge views on others sadly ☹️
Still, makes it easier to block them 👋🏻
