A reminder that we’re not here to fight for ourselves, but for everyone who is too small to fight for themselves. If it must be selfish, fight in hopes that when your day comes, they’ll fight for you too, as you do for them today.
Woah! What convenient timing! No word on this matey until Farage pipes up and suddenly it's a huge problem that needs fixing!

I have filled in the form to cancel my labour party membership twice now and the direct debit came out again today. I'm gonna call my bank and cancel it, just a message for the rest of you to check your direct debit.

Suddenly everyone who doubted @zackpolanski.bsky.social when he said he'd wait for a platform from yourparty before committing to an election pact of some form look a little silly. Zack is on fire with sensible and exciting political decisions. Love to see it.

I was really excited by the prospect of Zarah Sultana and Jeremy Corbyn forming a new force on the left, pushing positive uplifting, and hopeful narratives of tolerance and progress. Unfortunately ego seems to have gotten the better of them. The greens are still going strong though!

You rule by consent of the people. Nepal is a fantastic example of this. Democratically elected government which had lost the support of the people, it then authorised the killing of children, and the protests turned into a revolution.

Just so we're all clear, farage's mate and idol Trump is doing the migration things Farage wants to do. And surprise! It amounts to rounding up all the foreign looking people, beating them, and imprisoning them. Whether they're citizens or not. Farage will do the same thing here.

The sun sets on a beautiful day in England. Things could be better, sure, but look at how beautiful this country still is. 🇬🇧

6 people were arrested for attempting to organise mass gatherings to render the Palestine action ban unenforceable... Isn't that the goal of all protests? To become so large that they're unignorable? Yet another step to restricting protest rights in the UK. 🇬🇧

congratulations @zackpolanski.bsky.social , I'm proud to have voted, and I'm proud to be a member of seemingly the only party in British Politics genuinely interested in making the lives of working people better. Let us all make this country as great as it can be 🇬🇧

Real patriotism is wanting your country to be better.

Real patriotism is wanting every single person who lives in it to have a stake in its success.

Real patriotism is wanting the best for everyone in it. To have the best healthcare, education and life chances.

Let‘s hope Farage and his clique of Pound shop patriotism peddlers have not poisoned the wells so far that even basic knowledge is cast aside

Thinking of working on a project which explains how our sentencing works as a country. Giving a mock sentencing hearing, and explaining how different outcomes may be reached in similar cases. Farage's lot seem to think it's wildly corrupt. That sentiment is a threat to our legal system 🇬🇧

We have to all remember that despite everything, we live in a stunningly beautiful country, with some truly unbelievably amazing cities. We fight to be able to enjoy them. To have free time, and to remove the constant pressure to work and be careful with money. To enjoy where we live 🇬🇧

There is no question in my mind: A united Europe, working together in economy, trade, policy and friendship is the only way to make our opinions sustainably heard and recognised on a global stage. In this time of uncertainty we can not afford to fall behind. #EU #Europeanunion

The right are hanging flags everywhere it's a strategy. They'll claim the left are taking them down and hate this country, so don't. Tell them we love the flag. Tell them we're happy to fly it proudly. Then take photos of minorities waving it. People proud to be here. People who love it here.

The left urgently needs to reclaim our flag. The narrative that the right wing is where the "patriots" are is damaging, and seductive.

True patriots who love this country don't sell it off. True patriots believe that this country is strong enough to help our own and others too.

The online safety act has done nothing but curb freedom of speech, reduce privacy and safety, and reduce legitimate access to content.

I still cannot access dms on bluesky without a VPN because as a student, it's very difficult to get a credit card. This increases the cost of participation.

How come when Jeremy Corbyn is accused of antisemitism it collapses his campaign, and when Nigel Farage clearly and demonstrably holds awful Islamophobic views, that gains him extra votes? It's almost like antisemitism was never the problem.

I have resigned my Labour party membership. I'm not alone. This is nationwide. The people in charge have shown that the opinions of members are not represented in the leadership. I'm joining the greens, the only party currently opposing austerity. If you have questions about my decision, ask.

Can we just appreciate the irony in calling a country Marxist and socialist and then arguing that the country's state is too big?
Marxist was an anarchist! (Kind of)
And probably the biggest anti state advocate of his time!

I've had a lot of people criticise my take on AI, especially AI art, and particularly in circles I would normally agree with. I wanna explain why I think AI can make good quality art when used as a tool, and the best way is with an example.

Just watch. This government just got proof that the Israeli government is hiding the situation on the ground from us by turning away our MPs. And they're gonna continue to fund them. We're not allowed to see what the money goes toward, but we're gonna continue sending it.
