@geofftech.bsky.social Visited the new Édouard-Montpetit REM station and saw a warning sign at a staricase. Assuming 3.05 m per storey, this is indeed roughly 20 storeys!
But on a promotional sign in the same station, they mention that a depth of 72 metres is equivalent to a 20-storey building. 🤷🏻♂️

At 72 metres underground, Édouard-Montpetit station is the deepest in Canada and the second deepest in North America, the equivalent of a 20-story building.
To build it, 50,000 cubic metres of rock had to be extracted from the ground, requiring 540 blasts, 100,000 kilograms of explosives, and two and a half years of work.
