Mostly off of social media but want to amplify a missing person report about a friend of a friend.

Folks in Chicago, please keep an eye out for this young woman, who has been missing since October 17th.

I made this, thinking of a table where many would gather and eat and talk and pause.

Started this day thinking about posting less, but here I am, still posting.

Not a baker, nor much of a poster. And yet.

Beautiful show by @vijayiyer.bsky.social, Linda May Han Oh, and Jeremy Dutton this afternoon.

Difficult, uneasy times call for compassion.

Especially moved by their performance of "The Kite," composed in memory of the slain poet Refaat Alareer.

Yes! We spoke on a panel sponsored by the Adult Reading Round Table in June 2017. @tuphlos.bsky.social was also there (via Skype, I think). Afterwards, we ate lunch at a nearby restaurant.

It's so good to see you on here.

Event poster as a refresher:

For folks in New England: visit "As We Rise: Photography from the Black Atlantic" at the Peabody Essex. Excellent show, beautifully paced and staged.

Got a tour of the Carpenter Center yesterday and felt the slightest twinge of nostalgia for the Brutalist architecture of my undergraduate years.

(Just the slightest.)

Revisited the Simone Leigh exhibit at the ICA Boston with a curator colleague today.

I'm still transfixed.

Hello 👋🏽

Big thanks to @noethematt.bsky.social for the invite.

Still feeling my way through this space. So I'm going to go back to 2013 weird Twitter and share a few snippets of my day.
