Hoang and Cassandra misunderstood each other. It’s mostly Hoang’s fault. He was trying too hard to be a gentleman, for her to warm up to him. Cass took it as flirting and wanted more until there’s rumors about him and Bull. It was awkward but they talked it out.

It needs to be a build up of events: Betrayal, Leondorr’s friends and Halsin going down a dark path bc of him, and people dies because he failed every time. It convinces Leon that he’ll never wash off the filth in his blood, and good for nothing but the purpose Bhaal gives him: destruction. (1/2)
