If you've got access to a slow cooker/crockpot they're good for soups, stews, roasts, possibly casserole dishes. Heck, I even make a lazy pulled pork in mine.

Yeah, it was definitely pretty ambitious for a first build. 😅

The front left one is a choke.
And yes, that's exactly what the rectangle is. It was cheaper and easier to source big axial caps, this was the best solution to make them fit right.
It's a modified version of a Rob Robinette plan based off a 40 watt version of a Soldano amp.

They really are. I'm not huge into electronics, but they're not too difficult from kits. Designing/building from scratch is a whole other story.
I've got a tube screamer, old boss distortion and noise gate (because, metal lol), the delay I built. EQ and wah, but I don't really use those.
