substance painter in particular is super vram hungry so the more you can throw at it the better

if your image is 250px or less you can avoid compression by scaling it up by 8x (jpg compression works in 8x8 pixel blocks, and max image size here is 2000x2000)

most of them yeah, sometimes i'll leave certain verts unsnapped if it looks noticeably worse or if i have to rush an asset where i can't be all perfectionist about it (then i'll just snap the most important parts really)

xbox & 360 gotta be my faves, i bought some good condition modded ones last year and it's been great revisiting some of the classics (mostly forza)
