It wouldn’t be /as/ bad if I had any sort of job or other source of money, but I don’t and likely won’t for the foreseeable future. So not knowing if my only source of income is going to suddenly be ripped out from under me has just been insanely stressful. And I can’t ask for help while on Dis ;;

Yeah… I’m still trying to verify the legitimacy of this to clarify if it’s real or not- the vague wording of the smart feature desc does nothing to assuage worry, and it’s been hard to sort out good sources. Malwarebytes is supposedly good cybersecurity but that doesn’t mean they’re a good news src

Anyways sharing bc I hadn't seen ANYTHING abt this and only happened to find it bc I accidentally clicked into the explore tab and saw gmail security trending... Allegedly you can opt out in settings > general > turn off smart features but it messes up other things too? Awesome. Great. We love it.
