I write stories (mostly romantic, mostly queer and usually fantasy). I also drink tea, foster dogs, and apparently post about politics.

My aunt likes to find really random gadgets to stick in stockings. My favorite so far has been a little USB car charger with 3 different plugs on the end (usb-c, micro, and lightning).

Relatedly, a phone power bank or a portable charger might also be a good idea.

I watched it rising while I walked the dog earlier tonight. Absolutely stunning.

ngl I was thinking the exact same thing - IIRC, the Texas districts were gerrymandered based in part on the 2024 Hispanic vote and uh. The 2025 results suggest that was a Bad Plan.

The tea for day 3 pf the advent calendar was Cozy Coco black tea. Smelled more like chocolate than it tasted, but it was still a good drink!

Every year I feel that tweet about tech workers keeping only a printer connected to the Internet and a gun to shoot it if it makes a strange noise just a little bit harder.

Today's tea from the advent calendar is anise cookie black tea!

I enjoyed it! Smelled very much like a cookie and a little bit of sugar really boosted that flavor.

I made myself try it without any sweeteners (usually I put a bit of sugar or honey in any tea) but for the last half of the mug I dropped in a spoonful of honey for the sake of my poor cough-ridden throat.

tbqh I'm not a big fan of chamomile, especially by itself - I tend to prefer black or fruity teas to floral flavors. But this one's not too bad!

The initial taste is more chamomile, but it's not too strong. The honey comes in more as an aftertaste. Very relaxing, a good tea to end the day.
