Grumpy old man still holding onto his fascination with all the things that we can do and see with technology.

Oh... and I take photos

Oh... and I'm inventing BitGrid
Ok, that was all awesome. I've shared the link with friends and family. I'm glad you noted the damage to the tower was corrected after the day's experiments.

Just how were those repairs done? Wasn't some of the galvanizing removed with all the arcing? Surface prep and repainting during an outage?

I'll never forget seeing the wall of fog come in and cover everything at night.

All I know is that if Chicago is about to get Nuked, I'd like to have sufficient notice so I and my family can get outside and directly in the blast path, and not have to watch each other die slowly over the following few months.

How did the suggestion (that people become obsessed with things then shift their opinions) evolve so quickly into suggestions so radical about me?

This isn't healthy. I think it's endemic to social media.

So, the project of political correctness, to try to get people to learn to be better should be abandoned... in favor of

genocide?

That seems counterproductive.

Upon further reflection... if the average man had a phase of actually genocidal hatred, instead of just normal hatred... you'd have no minorities left alive, it's math.

Maybe it's the rebellion young men feel... the dismissal of society's rules as stupid, the arrogance of youth?

You're telling me you've never changed your mind about anything? I've been all over the map, and have currently settled on the conclusion that we should be collecting recipes for eating the rich.

Yet in 30 years hence, the same computing power will be realized on something that fits in your pocket.

Ugh, I don't know much about DHH except there seems to be a hit piece written targeting him for some reason.

And now it's showing up here.

I thought Bluesky was a positive place.... 8(

It's an area of concern I haven't thought about before, so I'm unfamiliar with the terminology you've used. Do you have any suggestions for how to resolve the problem?
