Had not seen that yet, about to rectify! Thanks Patrice.

This seems to be getting a ton of love lately. Intrigued by the album title… turns out it means “Pinball” in Japanese? That’s a fun enough fact for me to add it to my queue.

I love it as well… just a somber spell hangs over it, particularly throughout side 2.

It’s a cultural touchstone, for sure! I’ve sadly not kept up with anything they’ve done since “Times Up”, have you?

Having seen both recently I can say that PG’s stage production is on a whole nother level. Would like for SW to have that kind of touring budget. Both are among my absolute favorites for their willingness to combine visual artistry with the music.

Not sure how I missed seeing this 9 days ago, but I’m always appreciative of your year-end lists! No complaints with your #1 (or should I say “# 10 to the power of 0”).

I spy 2 of my own top 10 😉

🤣

Is that what you’re rooting for Patrice? Relating it back to where this thread started, I’d put C/C 3rd in line of his last 3 releases. Which is to say I’m still truly happy with it, but the last 2 solo records are a notch above (pour moi).

Have you (or RJ) gotten wind of his intentions for 2026?
December 12, 2025 at 11:07 PM
I think he needed to stay at home to sort his expansive vinyl collection and index it into Discogs. 😉

I respect that opinion though don’t quite agree with it. I feel TFB missed the instrumental dynamite that is contained on the 2 following records. That said, I’m happy to have everything available and glad we’re not limited to just those 2 releases I referenced above.

I did absolutely love the show. And I do wonder why Steven jumped into next record (The Overview) rather than hit the road with the Overview? Perhaps timing was too soon and he was too raw from road following the C/C tour?

I haven’t heard any WVH since the debut. How does this one stack up to the others?
December 12, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Ha ha ha… Is it dinner time yet? 😉 I hope you have a great weekend Mary.

The overview is like an elegant meal at a fine dining establishment. Exquisite, but it’s gone in the blink of an eye. Though perhaps it’s brevity is also part of what makes it so brilliant.

I totally concur on staircase! I woke up this morning with that song on my mind, and the visual of Nick Beggs towering over me in the front row going to town on the Chapman stick.

Did you (I’m quite sure you have) heard the news about the accompanying book? That sounds like a fun read.
