Mort is near enough to the beginning to feel like it's not skipping too much, and has a lot for a 13yo boy to enjoy. Loads of Death and a tiny bit of swearing were all I wanted from books at that age.

I get a lot of this. People DM me to say they liked a book, and I reply all happy, and then they reveal offer to market it for me in exchange for loads of money, and then I feel sad and thick.
