So, I think advising people not to avoid changes is much worse in the messaging.

Looking at a possible change with due skepticism is the better approach, in my opinion.

I think it's common knowledge to avoid driving off the road. But if you need to, you need to.

By telling people to avoid doing it, we are telling them that it is something that can be very bad and to really consider it before attempting it.

Some plans have to change. I don't think that goes against the adage to avoid changes.

If at your day job, they didn't avoid any changes, then you would feel it when they run out of money or require unpaid overtime.

I am coming at this from a paid indie perspective rather than a passion project.

Any one thing that changes from the original plan will affect everything else unless you included a ton of padding into your original plan.

I do see the point of your post but I think it's important to note that you haven't actually gained anything yet while you have fully changed your plans.

If you do that enough times, or choose the wrong things to change, you can tank the entire project.

That's why i think it's good to avoid it

I have heard stories, mostly on reddit, where devs say they get charged or locked out, but nothing like that happened to me. My company had a Unity sales rep, so I figured they would just fix it if something happened.

I use a desktop and two laptops while traveling. I'm pretty sure they are all connected to my personal Microsoft account.

My pro and community license for both accounts were viewable on my hub. But I didn't have access to pro features on my personal account.

Yea I've just used two accounts for years and been fine.

I start my day, login with my business account. End my day and log out.

I work on government contracts with Unity and also use a separate github account.

Never had an issue since 2022 when I started doing it.

Currently showing 8 patterns with a new one dropping every weekday.

Feel free to star or fork the repo.

Hope this helps self taught devs get into using design patterns in their code.
