He’s senile and has no idea what he’s saying — but he probably has supporters (also senile) who think this makes sense.

Sure, hard to argue that. But D consultants keep pushing useless expenditures like mailers sop they make money, not really helping Democrats actually get elected.

The Democratic consulting class is awful — they loot, they do stupid things and get cranky when people point out how much cash they waste.

They had an offer $66M and said they were willing to go higher. Diaz made a choice — the reporting suggests he was angry that firing Hefner pissed him off (and his brother pitched for LA last year and had glowing reviews).

That’s a different argument — I‘m clarifying the state of the law. And yes, this is a conflict between privacy and first amendment rights to gather and publish content. If you’re in public, you can been seen and recorded.

I have massive issues with Meta’s device — as it can be hacked to turn off the red recording light. If I’m holding up my iPhone or Nikon, people know I’m using it — with these glasses, it’s not obvious. We do need new rules, but lets not misrepresent the law or rights.

Mass transit is public, literally - and you do not need to wear ID as media (we do it more for protection, TBH). This site is full of video shot on subways or busses. You are really mistaken on this — I’ve been doing this for decades, been guided by lawyers and never had an issue./1

I just double-checked with my attorney: no one can have expectation of privacy in a public place. You cite a private space (and even then, the law is not clear, depending on circumstances and use). Show me case law showing the opposite — but I don’t think you can.
